Meet Fanny Aouizerate | business entrepreneur in design
We had the good fortune of connecting with Fanny Aouizerate and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi fanny, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand, Wall In Vogue, has been my vision and ability to reinvent myself with purpose and determination.
My name is Fanny Aouizerate, and I founded Wall In Vogue during one of the most uncertain times in recent history. As a mother of three, and a creative entrepreneur building a life in a new country, I poured everything I had into this brand. I didn’t just want to sell wallpaper,I wanted to reimagine how people experience their walls, how they connect with their space, and how art could become a part of everyday living.
What drove the brand forward was my deep sense of aesthetics, my obsession with quality, and my ability to sense design trends before they hit the mainstream. I’m hands-on in every aspect, from creative direction to materials selection to client relationships.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What makes my work different is the mix of bold design, elegance, and high quality. I’m very hands-on with every step, from the first sketch to the final product. I want every client to feel like their space is truly unique.
Getting to where I am today hasn’t been easy. I moved to the U.S. from France with three kids and had to start over completely. I launched Wall In Vogue during the pandemicwith no team, no contacts—just passion, determination, and long nights of hard work.
One big lesson I’ve learned is to trust my vision. There were times when I doubted myself, but staying true to my style and values is what made the brand grow.
If there’s one thing I’d love people to know, it’s that Wall In Vogue is more than wallpaper it’s a reflection of my story, my creativity, and everything I’ve built from the ground up with love and perseverance.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We’d definitely spend time at Hollywood Beach it’s one of my favorite places to relax. You can walk or bike along the Broadwalk, grab a drink by the ocean, and just enjoy the breeze. One evening, I’d plan a sunset boat tour there’s nothing like being on the water, watching the sky change colors. It’s peaceful and beautiful and feels like a mini vacation in itself.
Of course, we’d go down to Miami for some fun too. I’d take them to Wynwood to explore the art, the murals, the cafés, and the whole creative vibe it’s one of the coolest neighborhoods. And for dinner, I’d make a reservation at Semilla, a French restaurant in Miami Beach that I absolutely love. The food is incredible, and the atmosphere is just perfect great wine, great energy.
We’d mix in some lazy beach mornings, maybe a little shopping, good coffee, and a lot of laughs. For me, it’s all about the mix: nature, good food, a bit of art and culture, and enjoying the people you’re with.
That’s what makes a perfect week here.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Absolutely. While I’ve worked incredibly hard to build Wall In Vogue from the ground up, I could never have done it alone. My biggest shoutout goes to my family especially my husband and my three children who believed in me when I decided to launch a business in a new country. Their encouragement and patience gave me the strength to keep going on the hardest days.
I also want to recognize the talented interior designers, architects, and collaborators who trusted my vision early on. Their belief in my designs allowed Wall In Vogue to grow from a small startup into a recognized name in high-end wall decor.
And lastly, I want to give credit to the creative women entrepreneurs I’ve met along the way. Seeing others balance ambition, family, and innovation gave me the confidence to push boundaries and dream even bigger.
Success is never a solo journey and I’m deeply grateful for the support system that has walked with me every step of the way.
